this is one of the government buildings in Buenos Aires, still in use now.



their independence monument right next to the building, look at the date.. Ill be here for the bicentennial! It is really exciting because they've been doing lots of renovations in preparation for it. Most of the museums will have special showcases to celebrate the last 200 year of freedom!

these are from this cemetery here where a lot of famous or wealthy people are buried..

it was rainy when we went, but made for a sort of eerie feeling which was appropriate.

the first two are of this wild tree that is at the entrance to the cemetery, and the sign is explaining that it is dedicated to the people that passed away.

the cemetery itself is famous in Bs As and it costs a LOT to be buried there!

well i'm on the move..

slowly.

my flight was delayed from 10:20pm to 12:10am so I get even more time to enjoy the fabulous terminal 8 at JFK. The 7 hour layover becomes a 9... well so far I got a manicure, ate some BBQ (in case they don't have it in BA), skyped with my family and ate a whole box of orange tic tacs.

intense. i know.

wanted to start using this bad boy again so I can record my travels and post pictures for family and friends.. so in case you don't know..

I am leaving for Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 29th, 2010 and will be returning to this fabulous town on June 20th, 2010. Hopefully I'll have some wonderful adventures to share!
